It's been a month...

and the manuscript grows a tad cold and a touch distant...but it's been good to get away. School is starting, the first week down, and I get to balance grading papers with writing my own. It's writing season, getting a bit cooler, and the leaves will be falling off the trees soon. I'll be able to see further from the desk in my study. Out the window, I mean. Maybe I'll see further into my manuscript too? Perhaps. Perhaps.

July is over...

And the noveling adventure has just begun... well, not really. Technically, it's over and the goal was 50,000 words. How'd I do? you might ask? well, not bad. I got to, specifically, 47,023 words. Just shy of the target. I wrote a LOT the last couple days. My wrists are definitely feeling it but that's ok. And, some of what I wrote actually makes me laugh. Book's not done, mind you. Story's not done. But I've enjoyed it and I intend to finish it.

So, I guess I'll keep counting...
